The COBIT® 5 Foundation course is an interactive, classroom-based learning experience. Participants learn about the need for an IT governance framework and how COBIT addresses this need by providing the latest insights into enterprise-wide governance of IT.

COBIT® 5 knowledge is ideal for assurance, security, risk, privacy and compliance professionals or business leaders and stakeholders involved in or affected by governance and management of information and information systems. The target group of the COBIT® 5 Foundation certification includes, but is not restricted to:

  • Business Management, Chief Executives
  • IT /IS Auditors, Internal Auditors
  • Information Security and IT Practitioners; Consultants
  • IT/IS Management looking to gain an insight into GEIT
  • Individuals who wish to be certified as a COBIT Implementer or Assessor

There are no pre-requisites for the foundation examination. Prior experience with areas of governance or management of IT or IT services is beneficial

The classroom training is delivered in varying formats and training includes lecture and interactive sessions where the instructor covers each knowledge area and follows it up through a discussion session and hands-on exercises to reinforce the knowledge imparted. The course is assignment based, with practical coursework and is based upon the latest edition of ISACA's globally accepted COBIT® 5 framework and prepares delegates for the COBIT® 5 Foundation certificate examination.
